More About Kaari:
Kaari Peterson is a user experience designer, graphic designer, photographer, performance artisit, and educator. Her work reflects an ongoing exploration of identity, sexuality and humor revealing a parallel interest in the mechanics of human communication. She has exhibited her photography nationally and performed locally at several venues.
She founded the Visual Artists/San Jose State University in 1990. She also founded and organized the Student Film & Video Festival, San Jose State University, which has continued for over ten years.
She has served on the board of several art organizations, as a founding board member of MMAC (Multi-Media Arts Coalition 1992-1995), and on the WORKs Gallery/San Jose board from 1992-1993.
She has also curated exhibitions including Inter-active: Electronic and Digital Technologies, Works Gallery/San Jose.
She was a part-time Graphic Design instructor at Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, California.
